Collection: Plant & bitter substances

Secondary plant and bitter substances are not yet considered essential nutrients, but nevertheless have a positive influence on a large number of metabolic processes. More than 10,000 of these substances are already known, most of which are found in fruits and vegetables. According to the DGE (German Nutrition Society), they have been shown to protect us from various diseases, mediate vascular effects such as dilating blood vessels and lowering blood pressure, stimulate the formation of digestive enzymes, and also exert neurological, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects.
