Saffron, known as one of the most valuable and expensive spices in the world, is famous for its characteristic aroma, distinctive taste and bright golden yellow color. Saffron is obtained from the delicate stigmas of the flowers of the saffron crocus (Crocus sativus). There are only three of these stigmas in each flower, which makes harvesting particularly laborious. It is estimated that 150,000 of these flowers are needed to produce one kilogram of saffron, which explains its high price. Saffron's roots can be traced back to ancient history, including its use in Mesopotamian culture. Today, saffron is primarily grown in countries such as Iran, Spain, India and Greece.
The quality of saffron is assessed by its color intensity, with the crocin content responsible for the color. Saffron, often referred to as the ""red gold"", is of particular importance in the culinary world due to its unique properties.
NatuGena Safran-2 complex contains the special raw material Saffr'Activ®4. Saffr'Activ®4 is a patented saffron extract from France, obtained from the best parts of the red stigmas of Crocus sativus. With a unique standardization, it contains at least 3% Crocine and at least 2% Safranal. Saffr'Activ® guarantees 100% purity and is free of GMOs, pesticides, allergens and heavy metals.
Saffron-2 complex is additionally enriched with magnesium and vitamin B12 (in bioactive form) as well as the branded raw material Probiostress™2. Probiostress™2 is a combination of lactobacteria and bifidobacteria with saffron extract.

Recommended Intake: Take 2 capsules once daily. It is ideal to consume it with a high-fat meal with 250 ml of still, lukewarm water or optionally with a teaspoon of omega-3 oil to increase bioavailability.
