Description
Alpha lipoic acid, also known as thioctic acid, is a sulfur-containing fatty acid. It occurs as a coenzyme in the mitochondria of many living beings and plays an important role in energy metabolism. Alpha lipoic acid buffers free radicals and is a powerful antioxidant. Free radicals are reactive molecules that can cause oxidative stress in the body, which is linked to various diseases.
It is considered one of the most important antioxidants in the human body and is a component of every cell. Alpha lipoic acid is also able to regenerate antioxidants used in the body such as vitamin C, vitamin E, coenzyme Q10 or glutathione and thus make them available to the body again.
Foods that contain a particularly high proportion of alpha lipoic acid are usually of animal origin (liver, heart, kidneys). But tomatoes, spinach and broccoli also contain alpha lipoic acid.
In contrast to conventional lipoic acid preparations, NatuGena's product does not contain any synthetic S-alpha lipoic acid. The R-alpha lipoic acid used here corresponds to the natural form of lipoic acid that can also be found in the human body and was produced in Germany under strictly controlled conditions.
The sensible supplement with the corresponding cofactors for the metabolism of R-alpha lipoic acid. The vitamins B3, B7 and B12 therefore contribute to the functioning of a normal energy metabolism. Vitamin B9 particularly helps maintain homocysteine metabolism.

Recommended Intake: Take 1 capsule once daily. It is optimal to consume it at least 30 minutes before or 90 minutes after a meal with 250 ml of still, lukewarm water or optionally with half a freshly squeezed lemon.
