Description
Homocysteine is a metabolic byproduct that occurs when the essential amino acid methionine is broken down. Since methionine cannot be produced by the body itself, it must be consumed through food. It is found in protein-rich foods such as meat, fish, cheese and certain vegetables. In addition, methionine plays a role in the transport and utilization of the trace element selenium in the body.
Homocysteine is a sulfur-containing amino acid that is formed during metabolism and quickly broken down again. Folic acid and vitamin B12 are coenzymes of methionine synthesis, which converts homocysteine into methionine.
SAMe (S-Adenosylmethionine) is the metabolically active form of the amino acid L-methionine. It serves as a co-factor in glutathione synthesis. SAMe is converted from methionine to cysteine and other amino acids; vitamin B6 is involved in this process.
Homocysteine Modulator contains the bioactive B vitamins B6, folic acid and vitamin B12. Vitamin B6, B12 and folic acid contribute to maintaining normal homocysteine metabolism.

Recommended Intake: Take 1 capsules once a day. It is optimal to consume it at least 30 minutes before or 90 minutes after a meal with 250 ml of still, lukewarm water or optionally with half a freshly squeezed lemon.
