Description
Description
Besides the immune system, the intestinal mucosa and the body's own gut flora mainly protect our organism from harmful substances that enter our intestines daily through food. The gut flora, with its billions of health-promoting bacteria such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli, effectively protects our body from the harmful influences of undesirable substances and molecules.
For gut bacteria to functionally protect our organism, these effective microorganisms must be present in sufficient numbers in our intestines. The number of bacterial cultures largely depends on their food supply. The main food source for gut bacteria is indigestible food components and primarily dietary fibers for humans.
However, dietary fibers are not equally well tolerated by all people. These fiber intolerances often result in a feeling of fullness, abdominal pain, bloating, and/or unpleasant diarrhea.
BallaststoffPur consists entirely of fibers that are fermented particularly slowly in the gut. This prevents the fibers from being broken down too quickly by the gut flora. This property makes BallaststoffPur particularly suitable for sensitive digestive systems. Furthermore, BallaststoffPur includes secondary plant substances such as curcumin, quercetin, and polyphenols from green tea extract for optimized modulation of the gut microbiome.
Dietary fibers are essential for healthy digestion and a healthy life. They not only promote bowel movement (motility) but also contribute to the regulation of a healthy gut flora. Dietary fibers act as "food" for our symbiotic gut bacteria and thus promote their growth. A healthy gut flora is crucial for maintaining a strong immune system and preventing diseases. It is mainly the lactic acid-producing bacteria that represent a healthy gut flora in their entirety.
The more diverse, the better – in addition to representatives of the classic bacterial genera of lactobacilli or bifidobacteria, very special bacterial strains with specific properties also benefit from increased dietary fiber intake. This includes, for example, Akkermansia muciniphila, which has blood sugar- and insulin sensitivity-regulating properties. This species is also said to have certain barrier-strengthening and anti-inflammatory effects.
Another beneficiary of a fiber-rich diet is the species Faecalibacterium prausnitzii. This species is currently being discussed in research for its strong anti-inflammatory properties. In this context, indications such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis are often mentioned. Furthermore, a high fiber intake can improve the integrity of our intestinal cells, thereby promoting overall gut health.
In the intestines of overweight and obese individuals, bacteria of the Firmicutes phylum predominated, and bacteria of the Bacteroidetes phylum were reduced. The Firmicutes include, among others, A. muciniphila and F. prausnitzii.
Ingredient Highlights:
Hydrolyzed guar gum
Fructo-oligosaccharides
Resistant dextrin
Acacia fibers
Guar Gum
Guar gum is obtained from the seeds of the guar bean, which originally comes from India and Pakistan. The flour consists mainly of plant mucilage substances that have the property of binding large amounts of water. Due to its high fiber density, guar gum reduces natural appetite, provides a quick feeling of fullness, and is therefore suitable for health-conscious diets.
Fructo-Oligosaccharides (FOS)
Fructo-oligosaccharides are indigestible oligosaccharides and therefore categorically belong to polysaccharides. These oligosaccharides consist of a sucrose molecule and several fructose molecules. Functionally, FOS serve as a food source for effective gut bacteria. The special thing about FOS is that harmful gut bacteria and the human organism cannot utilize them. This makes FOS an effective food source for gut bacteria and can increase the number of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli with regular intake.
Acacia Fiber
Acacia fibers are obtained from the trunk of the African acacia tree. This natural fiber consists of more than 80% soluble fibers and, due to this property, can sustainably promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria and support digestion.
Resistant Dextrin
Resistant dextrin (corn dextrin) is a soluble fiber characterized by particularly good tolerability and does not burden the intestines with undesirable effects (e.g., bloating) even in larger quantities. The fiber serves as food for the gut bacteria. It supports the entire gut flora as well as the functionality of the intestinal mucosa.
Recommended Consumpation
Recommended Consumpation
Recommended Intake: Take 1/3 measuring spoon (equivalent to 11.5 g) three times daily, 30 minutes after a meal. Place in an empty glass, fill with 300 ml of lukewarm water and apple juice (optimal ratio: ⅔ water, ⅓ apple juice), stir or whisk well and let it swell for at least 5 minutes.
Tip: Alternatively, you can take 1 measuring spoon once daily. We recommend apple juice for taste, but you can also use plain water.
Caution: There is a risk of choking for consumers with swallowing difficulties or insufficient fluid intake.
Notes:
Dietary supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Keep out of reach of small children.
